1971 in Wien geboren, erhielt er seinen Cellounterricht an der Universität in Wien bei Prof. Wolfgang Herzer und am Konservatorium bei Prof. Josef Luitz. Im Alter von 15 Jahren begann er sein Studium an der Musikhochschule Wien bei Prof. Tobias Kühne. Diplom mit einstimmiger Auszeichnung und „Magister artium“.
Langjähriger Unterricht beim russischen Cellisten Daniel Schafran, Meisterkurse bei David Geringas sowie bei Arto Noras. Stipendiat der Hugo Wolff Stiftung, Alban Berg Stiftung, u.a. Preise bei internationalen Wettbewerben (1. Preis in Bayreuth und Liezen; beim Brahms-Wettbewerb; beim Tschaikowsky-Wettbewerb in Moskau), Weiters wurde er mit dem Preis des ORF, dem „Wiener Philharmoniker „- Preis und dem OESTIG – Preis für zeitgenössische Musik ausgezeichnet. Würdigungspreis der Republik Österreich.
Solistische Auftritte mit Orchestern in Europa und Asien, wie Warschauer Phiharmonikern, Niederösterreichischen Tonkünstlern, Zwickauer Symphonikern, Izmir Symphoniker, der Baltischen Philharmonie, Philharmonische Orchester in Lublin, Wiener-, Slowakisches-, Zilina – Kammerorchester, u.a. im Wiener Musikverein, im Konzerthaus Wien sowie im Brucknerhaus Linz.
Solist bei internationalen Festivals (Gaming, Festival in Lancut, Britten Festival, Wiener Festwochen, Schubert Festival Warschau, u.v.a.). Er trat mit dem Küchl-Quartett, mit dem Pianisten Alexej Lubimov u.v.a. Auf. Rundfunk- und Fernsehübertragungen. Zwei CD Produktionen.

Attila Pasztor studied at the Vienna Conservatory with Prof. Josef Luitz and at the Vienna University Music University with Prof. Wolfgang Herzer. He did his diploma in the class of Prof. Tobias Kühne with unanimous award and appreciation prize by the Federal Ministery. Afterwards he did the academic degree Magister artium.
In the years 1988 to 1994 he studied with the legendary cellist Daniel Shafran, and was coached by Arto Noras and did Masterclasses with David Geringas. 1 prize as a soloist at the „Intern. Chamber Music Festival Austria (1987) „, 1st prize in the internal competition in Liezen (1992), 1st prize at the internal music competition Bayreuth (1994), 2nd prize at the Brahmswettbewerb Pörtschach.
Regular concert activity in Europe, Asia, South America, and the USA. Solo performances and tours as a soloist with various orchestras (Vienna Chamber Orchestra, Slovak Chamber Orchestra, Tonkünstlerorchester, Symphony Orchestra Izmir, Warsaw Philharmonic, Philharmonic Orchestra Lublin, Baltic Philharmonic, Philharmonic Orchestra Plovdiv, Balkan Chamber Orchestra, Euro-Asia Chamber Orchestra …). Solo and chamber music performances at international festivals, including the Chopin Festival Gaming, Carinthian Summer, Britten Festival Vienna, Schubert Festival Warsaw, Wiener Festwochen, Festival Lancut, Sofia Music Summer, Music Festival in Havana, and Emäsalo Festival in Finland, Festival in Reiding. Artist portraits and own programs on the radio and television. Invitation as guest lecturer to Caracas, Taiwan and Havanna.
Member of the ensemble exxj for contemporary music of Dr. Peter Burwik.
