Budžemaitė Emilija

Emilija wurde 1983 in eine Musikerfamilie geboren. Sie begann ihre musikalische Ausbildung im Alter von sechs Jahren, an der Nationalen M.K. Kunstschule Čiurlionis in Vilnius, Litauen. Die ersten Klavierlehrer waren E. Miklaševskaja und V. Kulikauskienė. Ab der fünften Klasse wurde Emilija in die Klasse von Prof. L. Drąsutienė aufgenommen und schloss 2002 mit Auszeichnung ab. Emilija setzte ihre Ausbildung an der Litauischen Akademie für Musik und Theater fort. 2006 schloss sie die Akademie als Bachelor of Music (Klasse von Prof. L. Drąsutienė) und 2008 als Master of Music (Klavierklassen von D. Kirilauskas und A. Kisieliūtė) ab.

Emilija Budžemaitė erhielt einen Sonderpreis in der Kategorie der Barockmusik bei einem Internationalen Wettbewerb für junge Pianisten im Jahr 1997 (Tschechische Republik); 1999 gewann sie den dritten Platz bei dem nationalen B.Smetana ir Z. Fibich Wettbewerb und den ersten Preis beim Internationalen Wettbewerb N. Rubinstein in Paris. Im Jahr 2000 gewann Emilija den zweiten Preis bei einem Internationalen Pianistenwettbewerb in Italien und den Sonderpreis für die beste Interpretation der Mozart Sonate.

2.Preis beim Wettbewerb des Nationalen Kammerensembles „Frühlingssonate“ und 2002 den 1. Preis. Sommermeisterkurse in Neuhardenberg (Prof. M. Gantwarg, V. Lobanov, I.Riumina). Von 2004 – 2005 studierte Emilija in Portugal an der Escola Superior de Musica de Lisboa (Klasse von Prof. T. Achot) im Rahmen des Erasmus-Austauschprogramms. Meisterkurse bei Prof. D.Bashkirov und S.Costa.

Emilija hat im Großen Saal der Litauischen Akademie für Musik und Theater und vielen anderen Konzerthäusern Litauens konzertiert und in anderen Ländern wie: Österreich, Deutschland, Belgien, Portugal, Algerien, Russland.

Emilija was born in 1983 to a family of musicians. She started her music education at the age of six, when she joined the National M.K. Čiurlionis School of Arts in Vilnius, Lithuania. The first piano teachers were E.Miklaševskaja and V.Kulikauskienė. From the fifth grade Emilija was accepted to the class of Prof. L. Drąsutienė and graduated from it with distinction in 2002. Emilija continued her education at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre. In 2006 she graduated from the Academy as a Bachelor of Music (class of Prof. L. Drąsutienė) and in 2008 as a Master of Music (piano class of D. Kirilauskas, concertmaster class of assoc. Prof. A. Kisieliūtė).

Emilija Budžemaitė became an accomplished performer at a young age: she was awarded a special prize for the best performance in Baroque music category at an International young pianist competition in 1997 (Czech Republic); in 1999 she won the third place at an the National B.Smetana ir Z.Fibich competition and the first prize at the International N. Rubinstein competition in Paris. In 2000 Emilija won the second prize at an International pianist competition in Italy and the special prize for the best interpretation of W.A. Mozart sonata. She also won the second prize at the National Chamber Ensemble competition „Spring sonata“ the same year and moved on to win the first prize in 2002.

In 2002 she attended summer master classes (solo and chamber music) in Neuhardenberg, Germany (Prof. M.Gantwarg, V.Lobanov, I.Riumina). From 2004 to 2005 Emilija studied in Portugal at the Escola superior de musica de Lisboa (class of Prof. T. Achot) under Erasmus exchange programme. She was also attending master classes given by Prof. D.Bashkirov ir S.Costa during her studies in Lisbon.

Emilija has performed at the Grand Hall of the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre, historic house museums of S. Vainiūnas, M.K. Čiurlionis and Petrauskas‘ family in Vilnius and Kaunas, church of St. Johns, Museum of Applied Arts in Vilnius and other concert venues of Lithuania. In 2002 Emilija gave a recital at the memorial museum of M. K. Čiurlionis in Druskininkai, Lithuania. She has also performed in other countries: Austria, Germany, Belgium, Portugal, Algeria, Russia.
